이 호텔에서 제 인생 최악의 여행 경험 중 하나를 했습니다. 며칠 전에 이메일을 보내 늦게 도착한다고 알렸는데, 한밤중에 도착했습니다. 그런데 이메일은 완전히 무시당했습니다. 도착해 보니 문은 잠겨 있었고, 리셉션 조명도 꺼져 있었으며, 아무도 저를 들여보내 주지 않았습니다. 누군가 열어주기를 바라며 초인종을 여러 번 눌렀지만… 아무도 응답하지 않았습니다.

가장 최악이었던 건? 예약금은 이미 지불된 상태였습니다. 길고 지친 여행 후, 제가 원했던 건 그저 쉴 곳뿐이었지만, 이 호텔에서는 그런 건 아무 의미가 없다는 게 분명했습니다.

Trip 측에서 신속하게 답변해 주시고 해결책을 찾도록 도와주셔서 정말 감사합니다. Trip 측에서 근처의 다른 곳을 예약할 수 있는 옵션을 제안해 줬는데, 솔직히 예산에 2달러만 더 보탤 수 있다면 그렇게 하세요. 앱에 등록되지 않은 곳도 주변에 많이 있고, 같은 가격으로 개인실과 훨씬 더 나은 서비스를 받을 수 있습니다.

다음 날, 저는 호텔로 돌아가 무슨 일이 있었는지 설명했습니다. 리셉션 직원은 무례하고 사과도 없었어요. 그냥 "새벽 1시 이후에는 무슨 일이 있어도 아무도 못 들어옵니다."라고만 말했죠. 그냥 그렇게 말했어요. 이미 돈을 냈든, 미리 알려줬든 상관없었어요. 그냥 신경도 안 썼을 뿐이에요.

도시 자체는 정말 좋았지만, 이 호텔은 정말 실망스러웠어요. 근처에 다른 곳에 묵을 기회가 있다면, 비용이 조금 더 들더라도 꼭 묵으세요. 더 나은 경험과 더 큰 프라이버시를 누릴 수 있고, 무엇보다 한밤중에 길거리에 버려지는 일이 없을 거예요.

A great home stay, they have multiple rooms and run it a little like an Airbnb or hotel but still keep the family touch behind home stay experiences. Family is kind, attentive, and great to chat to even with language barriers.

Free bicycles to use which is great because it’s a bit of a walk or cycle into old town. We think it’s a good distance but cycling shortened it. They do laundry but we didn’t use. They also have a dog who is a funny character.

To note for guests who are particular: Some things were a bit unclean in our room which is why we put 3/5. Amenities were good but shower head has a mind of its own and water temp is high (great and unusual for the surrounding properties we stayed in, but careful for unexpected water angles). Room also smelled damp and it was hard to get rid of smell. If this was a hotel it would be not acceptable, but given it’s a home stay we didn’t make a fuss. Just including in the review as homestays really range.
