We had a disaster stay at Silver Moon Villa. We had an awful experience which nearly left us as two young girls stranded. First of all, please don’t be fooled by the photos, we were extremely disappointed at the state of the property and room when arriving. It was run down and not the cleanest but there was no option to cancel as we booking third party and aren’t normally ones to complain too much and thought we would just grin and bare it for a few nights! After heading to the beach on our third day, we came back to our room unable to open the door as our key was no longer working ( the key and door were both old and rusted) We expressed this to the owner who also tried the key with no luck. She started accusing us of ‘breaking the door’ ( which we hadn’t, left it exactly how we found it when leaving) and demanded we pay an obscene amount of money for a locksmith to come out and fix her a new lock. This was completely unfair as it was obvious the door was on its last legs from the state of the overall lack of tlc the whole place. When saying we didn’t think it was fair to make us pay for her new lock after no fault of our own and her responsibility as property owner, she stormed off. This left us without our passport, money and belongings that were trapped in the room and she was refusing to help us and left us sat outside our room. It was getting dark and we had no way of getting to anything in our room and nowhere else to stay as we had access to nothing. Despite us not having the spare money to pay for the door, we had no other choice after a few hours but to pay as she said she wouldn’t help us or let us be able to get our belongings unless we did. We were extremely stressed and shocked by the lack of customer care we faced here. There is absolutely no care for customers staying here or even a want to provide a good safe place to stay. There are so many other lovely affordable places for you to stay in Hoi An. Don’t make the same mistake we did!

I would like to start by saying what an absolute health hazard silver moon villa is, the whole place is riddled in white and black mould and I have never felt so poorly than when I stayed here. The shower head and bathroom window ( which did not close) was also extremely rusty. My partner and I rented a moped which the receptionist/cleaner arranged for us and the moped had arrived with petrol near to empty. We drove the bike 4 minutes up the road and went for a bite to eat and left the moped parked up and when we returned to the moped it was already completely out of fuel and would not re start. We pushed the bike back and advised the man on reception that the bike has no fuel and he immediately was abrupt and rude. He was throwing his hands around asking why we did not fill the tank with fuel, we did suggest that we were hiring the bike for 1 day and expected there to be enough fuel to at least get us up the road and back. The man on reception continued to be rude so we asked for his name as we couldn’t get a word in edge way with him and he replied with foul language towards us and proceeded to tell us to get out of the hotel at 11pm with no where to go. This man was clenching his fists and stepping towards us in a threatening manner. We proceeded to go to our room and felt extremely unsafe in the accommodation. Overall felt there was no security for us after being treated in such a way. We did fear for our safety and we had to lock the door as normal but we proceeded to put our bags in front of the door also as we did not know this man’s intentions as he was being so verbally abusive and threatening.

Ne louez surtout pas une chambre familiale si vous êtes plusieurs! Nous étions 4 et avons réservé une chambre familiale…sur les photos il y avait 2 lits doubles mais en réalité il s’agissait de 2 lits simples! La chambre est beaucoup mieux sur les photos mais ce n’est pas ce que c’est en réalité comme vous allez le constater sur les photos! La salle de bain est minuscule et la chambre était mal propre! L’emplacement n’est pas super non plus et situé dans un fond de ruelle! Il y a tellement d’autres choix d’hébergement à Hoi An, investissez quelques sous de plus pour de la meilleur qualité, meilleur conseille que je peux vous donner!

HORRIBLE

L’un des pires endroits que j’ai jamais été! Mal propre, vieux, mal entretenu, humide, staff très peu friendly…rien mais absolument rien de positif!

Le lendemain, nous avons réservé un van pour le transport à la gare de Da Nang! Malgré que l’on a payé pour le prix d’un van, le staff de l’hôtel nous a amené à la gare avec un petit véhicule en mauvais été! Nous avons été arnaqué mais nous n’avions plus aucun choix!

Il y a tellement d’autres choix d’hébergement à Hoi An, investissez quelques sous de plus pour de la meilleur qualité, meilleur conseille que je peux vous donner!

La piscine était trouble donc pas de baignade mais pour le reste c’était bien.
